Default Goo?

Anyone know how the black plastic piece that rear lisc plate goes on is held in? It appears that it's just a black goo in two spots? Mine is sagging and would rather not shoot screws thru it to fix it to the body.

It's supposed to have a bunch of clips. Mine didn't either, it had one sheet metal screw behind the plate!

Hmm, I'm thinking I might just shoot a screw in it but hate to molest anything on this car.

3m makes a double sided tape that works good. There a a few raised areas in the sheet metal that contact the cover. Put it there...

Tape is used for adhering mouldings. I think Al's carries it.

Thanks Rob, I will use that instead of drilling crap. I have a bunch of it laying around from my Jetta skirts anyways, why the hell didn't I think if that?
